Stop Soldier Suicide is looking for a Digital Advertising Manager who wants to go beyond “making a difference”. We want someone who steps up every day to fuel the life-saving work we do with American veterans and service members.


This role will challenge you to:

  • Think holistically about how different digital advertising channels work in concert to accelerate both client and donor acquisition
  • Work collaboratively within the organization to enhance key efforts from both prospecting and retargeting standpoints
  • Proactively optimize and “pull levers” to ensure campaigns meet or exceed established goals, including (but not limited to) CPL, CPA and ROAS
  • Build and utilize client/customer personas to pinpoint where to reach our TAM, and deploy innovative channel-appropriate tactics
  • Deliver accurate, insightful data to appropriate teammates in order to catalyze real-time action rather than simply reporting information
  • Have a mastery of best practices across the spectrum of digital advertising, ensuring flawless tracking and data integrity for both client and donor acquisition
  • Have a flexible mindset and commensurate energy that provides the ability to pivot quickly and think creatively
  • Take ownership of our ad accounts to ensure spotless account structures and detailed account integrity


We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Have a minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience in digital advertising
  • Have a mastery of the full spectrum of search, social and display advertising); experience with YouTube, Spotify, Twitch, LinkedIn, Reddit and other emerging channels a plus
  • Thrive in a rapidly evolving environment that values innovation more than playing it safe

Key performance metrics:

  • Percentage of highest-risk clients among program leads generated
  • Cost per lead for total client acquisition, with a focus on CPL for highest-risk clients
  • Cost per acquisition for monthly recurring donors, with a focus on those meeting or exceeding AOV goals
  • CTR in upper-funnel campaigns for both client and donor acquisition

Veterans and service members are at 50% higher risk of suicide than their peers who haven’t served. We’re solely focused on changing that through an innovative suicide intervention model driven by evidence, science and data.


Our team is small, but we’re growing aggressively to meet the demand for our services and accomplish our goal of reducing the military suicide rate by 40% by 2030. That means empowering 2,400 mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters or battle buddies with a brighter future each year.


We serve all branches of the military and all generations, regardless of discharge status. We’re not government funded, but not a single client will ever see a bill for our services.
